Why are couple shots so important on your wedding day?
Plain and simple this one! Some of the most emotional and eye catching photos I produce from weddings, are of the Bride & Grooms couple shots. They are almost always the shots that become the album cover or the huge wall art that hangs in their living room for years to come.
I love to take the Bride and Groom away from the crowds of well wishers for even just a moment and it gets us some great results. The newlyweds feel more relaxed without all eyes on them and the shots we take are in a place that only they have had their photos captured and not the guests. It feels special and allows the couple to enjoy a few minutes together as husband and wife and this really does make some beautiful and genuinely emotion filled shots!
This is why when Chloe and Sean asked if I would go with them to Netley Abbey ruins between their ceremony and reception I jumped at the chance because I knew this location would make beautiful and unique photographs. We had such a great time there wondering around the tangle of ruins and got some amazing shots. We spent about 30 minutes there and were back to their wedding party in no time, a small part of their day with beautiful lasting memories. They even hopped into a passing police car for one photo on the way back!
