This location is such a hidden gem and perfect for all sorts of sessions with its beach, forest and fields all in one place. So when Kat and I were discussing places to go for their engagement session and she mentioned that she loved the seaside and woodland too, this was perfect!
I woke up to a cloudy grey day that was threatening rain but we went ahead for an afternoon shoot as planned and the weather was good to us, clearing away to beautiful sunshine and perfect blue sky.
As soon as I started the shoot I knew these guys were going to be a great pair to work with, Chris and Kat climbed up a tree straight away to pose because the branch looked pretty, it was then that I knew this would be so much fun! There weren't any false smiles here either, the natural emotion between them was beautiful and real... and definitely hilarious at some points of the session which makes such a difference to photographs.
We had a lovely long walk through the fields and boardwalks chatting about all their lovely wedding preparations (which sound amazing by the way). Finishing off the session with some photos on a beautiful pebble island just off of the beach that the extremely low tide had revealed.
I had such a lovely afternoon capturing these special moments for Chris and Kat and I'm really looking forward to the big day in September!
Engagement sessions are a great way to get used to being photographed together by me in the lead up to your wedding day. Whether it's at your wedding venue or somewhere completely different, the photos can be used on your wedding invitations or even a signature frame for the wedding day itself.
