I met with Jade about 2 years before her wedding, The 26th August 2017 and we instantly clicked. I knew their wedding was going to be beautiful because of all the little ideas we talked about and the cute little church they were getting married in, which was All Saints in Dibden.
Of course as it does, time flew by and soon enough the day Jade & Steve had been dreaming of was here. And what a beautiful sunny day it was!
I started with the bride at her Mums house, as I pulled up I saw the bridesmaid 'bus' which was a van covered in banners saying 'bridesmaids' 'mother of the bride', 'nan of the bride and many more! We had such a laugh getting ready with endless dresses, children and family members all around. The Bride and Grooms son Caleb was with us and he looked very smart (and adorable) in his outfit which matched Daddy's perfectly.
Once at the church we had plenty of time for photographs of the Groom and best man as well as natural shots of the guests chatting whilst they waited for the arrival of the Bride. The church was lovely with lots of windows all along the side, letting in the summer sun throughout the service. The Bridal party all looked beautiful walking down the aisle complete with the stunning bride, bridesmaid, flower girls and page boy.
After the ceremony we went along to the church gateway to get a few family photos before heading to the reception at the Ageas Bowl Hilton for more. This was my first time at this venue and it is a lovely modern hotel with a huge function room that has the highest ceiling adorned with crystal chandeliers. Outside we were able to have a little time on the golf course which was great for some couple photos and family photos with just the three of them. We were even able to jump on a golf cart for a few minutes!
Back in the reception room, the tables were elegant with silver candelabras and ivy draped around. The yellow colour theme was carried on in here with little ribbons on the chairs that matched the bridesmaid dress and bouquets. There were loads of little details including a mirror table plan surrounded by ivy, sweets tables and lots of Mr & Mrs signs, bunting and cake decorations! The cake also had an ivy strand and fairy lights looped around it which was simple but very effective.
The speeches were amazing, an emotional speech from the Father of the Bride made everyone tear up and an absolutely hilarious speech from the best man had everybody laughing. He even managed to get Caleb to join him for a 'Peacock dance' in front of the top table!
Once the speeches were over it was time to leave the Bride and Groom to celebrate for the rest of the evening with all their friends and family around them. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Griffiths!
